The Court of Appeal`s panel of judges will announce a decision on the case of Rustavi 2 today. The process is scheduled at 10 am.

The Court of Appeal informed about it the lawyers yesterday. It should be noted that the information was communicated only to the lawyers of TV Sakartvelo,Rustavi 2 lawyers were not informed, therefore, they do not rule out the possibility that judge Nata Nazghaidze will not allow them to enter the court room to attend the announcement of the decision.

The previous hearing was held on Tuesday, June 7, and the panel ended up saying that they need a few days for the final decision.It became known yesterday that the panel of judges will announce the decision today.

Judging by recent developments around Rustavi 2, the lawyers believe that the decision of the Panel of Nata Nazgaidze will be against Rustavi2 and freedom of speech.

The Court today will announce only  the resolution part of the decision on Rustavi 2 case. The parties will receive substantated part of the decision in 30 days.

Today the decision of Nata Nazgaidze on the recusal of Judge Shorena Kavelashvili wll be also known. Rustavi 2 lawyers have already appealed to the panel.

According to them, the documents received from the high Council of Justice are the the basis for the recusal of the judge but it is unclear whether this issue will be discussed by the judges before the announcement of the final decision.

The document received from the Council says that judge Shorena Kavelshvili is specializing not in civil, but criminal law.
