Turkish Ambassador to Georgia, Levent Gümrükçü has commented on the Istanbul terrorist act. According to him, there are no Georgians among the dead and injured . The ambassador also thanked the Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili and the people of Georgia for solidarity.
As the Diplomat states , 7 terrorists were involved in the explosion and three of them were suicide bombers. The death toll is 36-37 people and more than 100 injured. The ambassador did not rule out that the number of victims will increase.
"Gruesome attack, words are not enough to describe the incident. Unfortunately, this is happening all over the world. Three months ago, similar things happened in Brussels, it is now repeated in Istanbul. This is one of a large-scale attacks. The whole world is united on after the fact. Kvirikashvili was one of the first prime ministers, who expressed his condolences and solidarity with the Turkish people and I want to thank him, as well as the president and ministers. As well as the people of Georgia for solidarity. With support of our friends we become stronger and should strengthen our cooperation, "- said Levent Gümrükçü.
