Stricter sanctions on environmental pollution to be introduced

Environmental pollution regulations become stricter. This fine for pedestrians for throwing garbage in the streets will be80 GEL, house waste disposal will be fined by 100 GEL, in case of throwing the garbage from the car-120.

If the weight of garbage exceeds two kilograms, the fine will increase.

The fine for not cleaning up pet faeces in the street will constitute 50 GEL.

The amendments to"Waste Management Code"were Initiated by the Ministry of Environmental Protection.
