Borjomi was affected by heavy rain, hail and wind. Abundant rainfall caused flooding of basements of buildings, the ground floors of the central streets and yards. Traffic was interrupted in several districts of the city.

The winds also uprooted trees, which blocked the road and it was needed to help the people remaining on the opposite side to get out . Uprooted fallen trees damaged cars, injuring several people as well. Due to the disaster the electricity system was also damaged, which is why the 6 thousand customers in Borjomi were not supplied with electricity.

The city`s central park where trees were uprooted and infrastructure damaged .is also destroyed.

Heavy rainfall has caused problems in the surrounding area of Borjomi, where the central Borjomi-Bakuriani -Tsagveri road was blocked because of uprooted trees; later the movement on the road was reopened.
