It has been 8 years since the Battle of Shindisi. Today, Georgian heroes fallen at the battlefield were remembered once again. Soldiers were commemorated by President of Georgia. “Every year we come here with the feeling of gratitude. We want to show our respect to those who lost their lives to defend us and to defend our capital. They defended our homeland from perfidious enemy”, - said Giorgi Margvelashvili. Minister of Defense also paid tribute. “This is a tragic place, but also the one we are proud of. 17 soldiers died here. They astonished even an enemy with their courage”, - said Levan Izoria. The families of fallen heroes were present in Shindisi.
