Orthodox world celebrates Assumption of Virgin Mary

Today the Orthodox Church celebrates the Assumption of the Virgin Mary.

Churches conducted festive liturgy in the morning today. Catholicos-Patriarch of all Georgia will conduct the Divine Liturgy at the Sioni Cathedral,together with visiting Georgia Metropolitan Paul of Greek city of Drama.

The celebration was preceede by the two-week fasting.
