Eka Gigauri, executive director of "Transparency International - Georgia" assesses the fact of the arrest of already the former head of IDFI and states that this is all the result of the public sector’s attitude to non-governmental organizations.
Gigauri said she did not understand why the police were talking about what Kldiashvili’s occupation and whether he is engaged in public activities.
"This is a result of how the Prime Minister and other officials speaking about NGOs. The fact that the PM calls some NGOs "subversive" and "imminent threat to the image of the country" explains the attitude , of the public sector, "- said Gigauri.
