Tbilisi State University students protest against  destruction of Sakdrisi. On December 19 the students gathered to protest  in the yard of  the State University. They  urge all University students, as well as to society at large to join the protest.

The students say  that Sakdrisi is a monument of  national cultural heritage and the most  ancient center  for gold production in Eurasia.

"We believe that the first duty of the state is  to protect the monument, but because it is not happening, we express our opinion so openly, which is non-political and aimed only  at fixing  our civic position.
