A few minutes ago the main Christmas tree was illuminated. The main Christmas tree is in front of the Parliament building as in previous years.
The Christmas tree was illuminated in festive atmosphere by Davit Narmania, the Mayor of Tbilisi and George Alibegashvili, Chairman of the City Council. The event was attended by many people of different age.

Santa Claus and Father Frost arrived to the main Christmas tree in a sled to wish children a Merry Christmas and coming Happy New Year.
After Christmas tree lighting ceremony in front of the Parliament building the festive events started and they are is still going on with fireworks.
Six days are left for the beginning of the new 2015 year and a part of Christians is celebrating Christmas today.
