The traffic is restricted or prohibited in the mountainous areas of Georgia due to the heavy snow. According to Roads Department, traffic on Pasanauri to Gudauri-Kobi section of the road is limited due to avalanche threat. As for the Ninotsminda-Armenian border and Ninotsminda-Paravani road, the traffic in this section is because of wind storm. Movement is allowed in the Lentekhi and Mestia direction.
