Two people have been killed in a Jewish Kosher store in eastern Paris where a ‘heavily armed’ Islamic terrorist is currently holding as many as six hostages, police believe.

Paris force say the suspected murderer is Amedy Coulibaly, 32, who is wearing body armour and brandishing two Kalashnikov automatic weapons.

He is working with a woman called Hayat Boumeddiene, 26, who is considered ‘armed and dangerous’, and is said to have yelled at police: "You know who I am" when they responded to the shooting.

Police have now ordered all shops in Paris" famed Jewish district to be immediately closed, while the gunman is said to be demanding the Kouachi brothers - currently engaged in a tense deadlock with police further north - are immediately freed.
