The opposition believes that the draft law prepared by the majority on the illegal search is against a democratic society and can be used for putting pressure on citizens.Sergo Ratiani responded to the legislative initiative of Gedevan Popkhadze from the "Georgian Dream".
"Unauthorized searches, in general, is directed against the democratic state of normal society. Instead of introducing stickter norms and review the provision on the legality of sanctioned searches, they initiate the law allowing to put pressure on citizens, "- said Sergo Ratiani.
The draft law empowering the police with the right to carry out e unauthorized search will be discussed at the meetings of the Committee today.
