New Regulations may come into force in Tbilisi. Reportedly  parking will be restricted on the sidewalks. Special Pedestrian commission which was create under the Mayor of Tbilisi works on the issue.

David Narmania  made an announcement about expected changes and assigned the commission to work on the issue. He underlined that Mayor’s Office will make special  offer to investors. They will be able to construct new multilevel parking.

Reportedly the Commission will explore problems of pedestrians in different streets and districts and offer the solutions.

NGOs say that the decision is hasty. They consider that the Mayor’s Office should provide citizens with alternative parking space first.
