A Chairman of Legal Issues Committee criticizes the president. Eka Beselia has commented on the statement, made by the president in regard to the constitutional amendments.

Specifically she underlined the amendment, which envisages indirect presidential elections.
The MP from Georgian Dream claims that the allegations that the change is related to Giorgi Margvelashvili personally is wrong.

According to Beselia, in case of direct election, Giorgi Margvelashvili has no chance to win.

"The president, who tries to present the situation wrongly and do it in a very open and obviously way, as if it is a personal decision against his personality, damages the process. Nobody has an illusion and feeling that The president would win the elections in conditions of direct elections,"- said Eka Beselia.
