The protest rally turned into a confrontation with law enforcement in the center of Istanbul. Thousands of peoplegathered to commemorate the 8th anniversary of the murder o fHrant Dink ,ethnic Armenian journalist.
Police arrested 20 demonstrators. The protesters were demanding punishment for the murder of a journalist.
A few years ago a journalist"s murder suspect surrendered to the police, but later it turned out that the entire information about the pre-planned murder was known to lawenforcement structures.
The rally requesting the punishment of the perpetrator is carried out in Turkey every year.
