Soso Robakidze linkes the death of Yuri Vazagashvili to the investigation of his son"s case. Soso Robakidze compared Yuri Vazagashvili"s death to a terrorist act and said that the investigation of the case had new circumstances leading in the  unwanted direction.

Zaza Khatiashvili, chairman of the Bar Association, said that civil society should wake up. He said neither Saakashvili nor the current government did anything to open other known cases of killed young men. Military expert Vakhtang Maisaia commented on the death of Yuri Vazagashvili and stated that political terror had begun in the country
