EU needs united position - European Parliament member, Rebecca Harms talks about occupation of Georgia

The European Parliament member, Rebecca Harms spoke with Rustavi 2 about the occupation of Georgia and the future plans of the European Union. Rebecca Harmes noted that the EU needed immediate united position towards Russia.

"Europe is concerned with by increasing, as we call it,the frozen conflicts, the Crimean occupation and annexation in the Donbas. We can see in Ukraine that the situation has not been frozen and now Russia is developing a new geostrategic position. The EU needs immediate position to deal with it and to develop a strategy towards Russia. I hope that the situation in Georgia will not deteriorate, I"m sure the sanctions against Russia were necessary.. And I think the Association Agreement with the EU is of great importance and the best answer to the Russian aggression is democratic reforms and sustainable development in accordance with the Association Agreement and the EU should be more involved in the development of democracy, "- says Rebecca Harms.
