NGOs are in favor of monitoring staff changes

NGOs assess the staff changes in the Interior Ministry and the Prosecutor"s Office. Head of the Young Lawyers Association, Ana Natsvlishvili, said the assosiation is interested in finding out wether the staff left their posts on their own or were dismissed. "Young Lawyers" intend to monitor the personnel shifts. According to them, the state is required to establish the truth about these cases and bring perpetrators to justice.

"Parliament should intervene in the process, because for so long the civil society has been waiting to learn the truth and we stil have very many cases unsolved.Suddenly, several  people have decided to leave the system on one day. It is important, not only the punish the offenders, but also to find out the people  who were in the system for years and obstructed the investigation, "- said Ana Natsvlishvili.

In the last few days, the interior minister, the deputy head of the criminal police division of police Otar Mirzoev and head of the city police Giorgi Dalakishvili have resigned. In addition,some staff members who had some involvement with the case of Vazagashvili have decided to resign.
