The President of Georgia hosted Ambassadors of EU member states.

Giorgi Margvelashvili briefed the EU Committee on Political and Security issues with detailed information on Georgia"s integration into the EU, free trade agreement and visa free movement.

Ambassadors are in Georgia to get familiar with the current situation in the country and the situation in terms of security.

"We all recognize that there are a lot of clear obstacles from our northern neighbor - the Russian Federation for Georgia to become a full member of the European process. By occupying the territory of Georgia, Russia wanted to achieve its major goal - to slow down Georgia"s reforms, democratic process and integration with the EU,"- Margvelashvili said at the meeting.

The President of Georgia thanked all European partners for their strong support for our country and for the opening of cooperation door for Georgia.

"We hope that the Russian policy will be openly condemned", Giorgi Margvelashvili said.
