Mikheil Saakashvili appealed against the decision of depriving him of the Ukrainian citizenship in court. The statement was made by the third president of Georgia on the rally yesterday.
At the rally, Mikheil Saakashvili gave the country government the deadline till November 7 for execution of the demands of the protesters.
Discontinuation of diplomatic relations with Russia and freezing tariffs, appointment of early presidential and parliamentary elections and adopting law on impeachment.
"We came here to demand changes. Apparently they hear our voice better when we are on Maidan. On November 7, if the Parliament does not pass the law, more people will join the rally. We need to show that our demands are justified and we have the mechanisms to change the current government for a better one.
"The new president should not interfere in the courts and prosecution activities, and the first obligation that the new president should take after the inauguration is that
the functions of the president will reduce and will act within the constitution, in contrast to the current president," -Mikheil Saakashvili said.
