Parliamentary majority r will have to take decision on the candidate of the Public Defender at the session today. NGO sector offers "Georgian Dream" 4 candidates for the vacancy of Ombudsman. Nino Lomjaria, Ana Natsvlishvili, Vakhushti Menabde and Zviad Koridze are the candidates.

Representatives of the NGO say that the nominated candidates have great experience and legitimacy in the field of human rights.

"They meet the basic criteria that the person in this position must meet and there may be a lot of candidates, many people have experience in human rights, but these particular candidates have high legitimacy in the NGO sector", stated Michael Benidze.

The ruling team should come to a joint position after today"s consultations. Apart from the candidates proposed by the NGO sector, the parliamentary majority will consider the candidacy of Sopho Khorguani and Sophie Japaridze.
