The two-day Economic Forum of Silk Road will be opened in Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theater. More than 1 000 representatives of 50 countries participate in the forum. Leader of the Georgian government will soon address the gathering.

Country representatives  will also sign some agreements. Main issues are trade, transport and energy issues. Special attention will be paid to strengthening the country`s investment and transit potential.

"The content and benefits of the Forum for our country should be that transit potential of our country must be increased and investments, which our country is implementing, mainly in infrastructure and private sector, in the ports or other important infrastructure, should bring revenues and should return these investments Which means that new jobs will be created and inclusive development of the economy will be created, "- said the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Dimitri Kumsishvili.
