The President of Georgia appointed Ana Dolidze as the member of the High Council of Justice. Giorgi Margvelashvili made a statement a few minutes ago.
Giorgi Margvelashvili spoke about the problems in the judiciary system. According to the president, despite the expectations of 2012, justice system still does not have answers to many questions.
"During the 2012 change of power everyone had expectations that the justice system would be improved qualitatively, but today we can say that despite the trust of the society, many questions cannot be answered about justice," said Margvelashvili.
According to Giorgi Margvelashvili, the independent court is one of the main foundations of the statehood.
Giorgi Margvelashvili says that the High Council of Justice is one of its bodies mandating the independence of the justice system.
The Parliamentary Secretary of the president will replace Vakhtang Mchedlishvili. His four-year term in the office expires on January 16.
