Bacho Akhalaia calls on Pardon Commission not to consider the issue of his pardon

Bacho Akhalaia has called on the Pardon Commission not to consider the issue of his pardon.
Akhalaia has released this appeal since it became clear that General Gogi Tatukhashvili addressed the president"s administration with the request of his pardon.
In his letter, the former Defense Minister notes that he does not know who asked the Pardon Commission to pardon him against his will. Akhalaia says it is insulting for him to hold any kind of discussion on his release.

"Last night I found out that the Pardon Commission is going to discuss my case with absolutely incomprehensible reasons.

I want to tell you that I am very surprised by this, as I have never asked for pardoning me or intended to make such a request. I hope you will tell me who made such a request.

In addition, I would like to say that it is insulting for me to make any kind of discussion about my release by your commission. For such a feeling, I really have objective grounds, as today Georgia is ruled by the Russian power”, says the letter.

“Mr. President, because of the current political ugliness in Georgia, your commission does not have any right to consider my pardon. My dignity does not give you permission”.
