US Ambassador completes three-year mission in Georgia - Kelly urges ruling party to restraint

The US Ambassador to Georgia has completed his three years of diplomatic mission in Georgia and a 33-year-long diplomatic career. Today Jan Kelly delivered one of the last public speeches in the capacity of a Diplomat.

Before leaving the country, the American diplomat urges the ruling party to restrain and advises the Georgian government to take care of democracy.

Jan Kelly also emphasized the importance of independent judiciary and media and said there was no democracy without them.

Politicians listened to the ambassador"s public speech in the hall. They talk about the necessity of considering these recommendations of the American diplomat.

The NGO sector focuses on recommendations regarding democracy problems.

Jan Kelly will continue to work with students in Chicago and teach them the history and politics of post-Soviet countries.
