In the frames of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, the main theme of the meeting of the Georgian delegation was the attack at independent media and the situation in Georgia in terms of media freedom.

Sopho Katsarava, chairwoman of the Committee on Foreign Relations, denied the pressure on independent media during the negotiations with OSCE Special Representative, Harlem Dezir.

According to the Georgian Dream member, Georgia has made progress in this regard.

The sides discussed at bilateral meetings the importance of holding the South Caucasus Media Conference in Georgia .

"Our partners especially emphasized the positive cooperation between the Georgian and OSCE institutions and the positive dynamics of cooperation, as well as the successful reforms and progress made in the country," Sopho Katsarava said.
