The Chief Prosecutor of Georgia does not exclude that a guilt of participants of the attack on Rustavi 2 may be aggravated. Irakli Shotadze made a statement at the session of the Prosecutor"s Council today.

According to him, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and all law enforcement agencies will do their best to prevent possible offences and to ensure that all citizens" rights and security are protected.

"At this stage, six individuals are detained. The charge will be presented today, after which the Prosecutor"s Office will appeal to the court with a motion for use of preventive measures against detainees.

"At this stage, I will refrain from judicial assessment. The individuals are detained as you know. The relevant investigative actions are underway ," Irakli Shotadze said.
