Parliament to approve new constitutional amendments today

Parliament of Georgia will approve new constitutional amendments today. According to the amendments, the block system will no longer exist since 2024 and the barrier will remain5 percent. The so-called system of bonuses will be abolished by 2024. The block system will be maintained only for the 2020 elections and the barrier will fall from 5% to 3%.

"A very successful project of constitutional reform is fulfilled. Which has been recognized by all international organizations, "said Mamuka Mdinaradze, chairman of the Georgian Dream faction.
