The draft law submitted by the NGOs, which was passed in the first hearing, implied proportional list of the elections, according to which every second on the list should be a woman

"The initiative was not supported by the Parliament and once again it was confirmed that women"s political participation and equality are not supported by the Parliament today," said Ida Bakhtidze, coordinator of the project "European Women for the Common Future".
