As previously icy relations between Cuba and the United States are thawing, the Russian foreign minister arrived in Havana.

Sergey Lavrov met with Cuban President Raul Castro and discussed the embargo imposed on the country by the United States.
In December it was reported that Washington and Havana were going to settle confrontation of the Cold War and restore the diplomatic ties .
Sergey Lavrov is the fiest Russian officials, who arrived in Cuba after the announcement of the US initiative.
