Excessive Power - Prosecutor"s Office has launched an investigation. The statement was made in the investigative department several minutes ago.

According to prosecutor Koka Katsitadze, all the necessary investigative and procedural actions are undertaken to investigate the facts of the possible use of excessive power by law enforcers against individual participants.

"The Prosecutor General"s Office has launched an investigation under article 333 (b) of the Criminal Code. Investigating and prosecuting actions are underway in order to fully investigate the possible abuse of power during the use of force by law enforcement officers and the use of special means envisaged by law," Koka Katsitadze said.

The Prosecutor"s Office requests citizens to provide any evidence to make a legal reaction to allviolations.
