Germany is going to recognize the Armenian genocide.

Christian Democrats and the Social Democrats have already agreed on the draft resolution. Voting within the ruling coalition is scheduled for today.

According to the document, the mass slaughter of the Armenian people by the Ottoman Empire one century ago is assessed as "genocide".

Angela Merkel"s spokesman said that the German Goverment supports this wording
