“The Black Sea region is important for NATO. We have 3 countries there - Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey. Then we have 2 important partners - Georgia and Ukraine”, - Jens Stoltenberg, Secretary General of NATO said during the Ministerial in Brussels.
According to him, the Alliance has increased its representation in the Black Sea region in recent years. Stoltenberg mentioned trainings, visits, practical support and intensive work with Georgia and Ukraine.
“We will help Georgia on its path to be integrated into NATO. That is why we are helping Georgia in modernization of defense and security institutions, in carrying out of reforms. This is the goal of NATO’s representation in Georgia”, - said Secretary General.
