5 450 turtles were illegally transported from Georgia to Turkey

Turkish border guards have detained Azerbaijan citizen Ruslan Gurbanov for smuggling 5 450 water turtles into Turkey via Georgia.

The detainee had the turtles hidden in the door trims of his vehicle.
The person was detained at Sarpi border checkpoint.
