The violation of the quarantine rules will become punishable

Violation of the quarantine rule is punishable by administrative rule, as well as by the Criminal Code.

Draft amendments will be submitted at tomorrow’s bureau sitting.

According to the new article of the Code of Administrative Offences, the violation of the quarantine rules will result in fining a natural person GEL 3 000, while a legal person will be fined GEL 15 000.

As for the amendments to the Criminal Code, if the quarantine rules are violated by a person, who has already been subjected to an administrative penalty for the same action, will be sentenced to house arrest from 6 months to 1 year.
