One of the detainees - Zviad Kuprava - was released on condition that he will arrive at the court as soon as he is summoned.

“No one will escape justice, but the arrest of me and my friends was unfounded. We were just protesting”, - he said.

According to the MIA, the protesters were detained in accordance with Article 173 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, which pertains to disobedience to the lawful request of law enforcers.
