The Prime Minister of Georgia congratulates the country on the Independence Day.

Irakli Garibashvili has stated that the first duty of government is to protect the independence of the country. He expressed hope that Georgia will be reunited.

"Today our country is an independent and sovereign state, this is the greatest achievement of our ancestors. Together we are obliged to cherish this achievement. Protect for what we fought for centuries and take care of our country"s for a better future.

Today our country is on the path of democratic development. This is the only right way for development of our country which will lead us to a common European family. Today we can say that we are closer to the ultimate goal, than - ever.

We are obliged to create decent living conditions for the people. I am confident that we will build a strong Georgian state. I believe that Georgia will be united and we will leave together with our Abkhaz and Ossetian brothers."- said Irakli Garibashvili.
