The officers of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Police Department, as a result of operative-investigative activities solved the case of robbery that took place in Senaki, on August 16. Law enforcers detained several times convicted in past G.G. (DoB 1998).

Committed crime envisages from 5 to 8 years of imprisonment.

Investigation established that detainee, along with his accomplices, robbed a civilian (DoB 1937) in her own house and fled from the crime scene. G.G. was detained by police several hours later in Senaki.

During the personal search and search activities held in detainee’s place of residence, illegally appropriated items have been seized as well as revolver, which will undergo relevant forensic examination.

Detainee has already pleaded guilty. Investigative activities on the mentioned case is in progress in order to establish and detain others involved in the crime.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of robbery committed in group, with a previous consent, article 178, II and III parts of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
