The officers of Juvenile Affairs Main Division under Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operative-search and investigative activities detained I.G. (DoB 1952) for raping an under aged person.

Committed crime envisages from 15 to 20 years of imprisonment.

Investigation established that for years, detainee was engaged in sexual intercourse with under-aged boy against his will, living in his neighborhood. Detainee took photos of a minor and threatened with property destruction and liquidation of his family members in case of exposing him. Detainee’s threat was perceived by minor as real, therefore he kept the mentioned fact as secret for years.

Investigation is in progress on the fact of raping a minor, article 137, IV part, sub-paragraph “C” envisaged by the Criminal Code of Georgia.
