Georgian Defence Forces received armored vehicles produced by DELTA

The Georgian Defence Forces received up to 40 units of armored vehicle Didgori, including Didgori Medevac, and various types of multifunctional armored vehicles produced by Scientific-Technical Centre DELTA.

This is the first time when the Defence Forces have been equipped with locally produced armored vehicles.

The APC version of Didgori is designed to transport ground troops on the battlefield and carry out reconnaissance tasks. The medevac variant is designated to rescue injured personnel from the battlefield, and is equipped to enable medical personnel to provide first aid during the process.

The deal between DELTA and the Ministry follows earlier initiatives on GDF hardware and capabilities, including a “complete rehabilitation and modernization” of anti-air defences, and upgrade of electronic systems of the GDF aircraft fleet, following deals with Israeli arms developers earlier this month.
