We wish to clearly state that infected individuals are under medical supervision both at home and at COVID Hotels. When people are not placed at hospitals, it does not mean that they are left without medical supervision, said today Natia Mezvrishvili, the Head of Government Administration after the Inter-Agency Coordination Council.
According to her, the Government of Georgia is doing its best to use hospitals only for infected patients with the acute health condition and chronic diseases.
“Medical treatment of COVID infected people under the new model continues at home and at COVID Hotels. Questions were asked recently about this topic and I wish to clearly state that doctors supervise the medical treatment of infected people at home or at hotels. When people are not placed at hospitals, it does not mean that they are left without medical supervision.
As for who is treated at hospitals, we are doing our best to use hospitals only for infected patients with the acute health condition and chronic diseases, as well as for the elderly and those in greatest need. In general, it could be said that the rising community transfer rate is witnessed globally and it will be happening here as well. Also, similar to the rest of the world, we continue to manage the process, including with a new model of clinical management”, - said Natia Mezvrishvili.
