The legislative proposal on Gender Equality will be submitted by the up to 20 non-governmental organizations in the parliament today.

As they say, their goal is to balance the electoral lists of political parties.If the initiative is supported, there will be 38 women in the 150-member parliament . At present, there are only 17 female lawmakers, which is 11 percent.

In the authors` view, this will ensure gender balance in local government bodiesas well .
