Movement of private vehicles to be allowed on bus lanes from December 25 to December 31. Such a statement made today the Tbilisi Vice-Mayor of Tbilisi Irakli Khmaladze.
“Tbilisi City Hall monitors traffic flows throughout the city daily and informs you that after the temporary suspension of municipal transport, the rate of private vehicles has increased by 20%, which once again underscores the need for public transport-oriented policy.
Because of the pandemic, municipal transport could not be resumed from December 24. As the New Year is approaching and the population needs to move for different purposes, Tbilisi City Hall has decided to temporarily allow the movement of private vehicles on the bus lanes in the capital from December 25 to December 31”,- said Irakli Khmaladze.
