The Parliament of Georgia has approved the draft Law on Amnesty, by 86 votes, on its second hearing.

The draft law pertains to Article 44, however, some other articles are also being considered, including drug crimes and tax and economic crimes.

About 15-20 articles will be added to the bill, however, it will not be qualitatively updated and incompatible with the principles that the bill has in general. The law will apply to those who committed offences before December 11, 2020.
