The officers of Grdabani police Division of Kvemo Kartli police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operative-search and investigative activities, detained four persons: E.B. (DoB 1997) Ts.A. (DoB 1978) B.B. (DoB 1974) and A.B. (DoB 1995) for illegally restricting freedom to an under-aged female.

Committed crime envisages from 7 to 10 years of imprisonment.

Investigation established that in one of the villages of Gardabani municipality, E.B. with the assistance from the side of his mother and two close female relatives, illegally restricted freedom to S.B. (DoB 2005) with the purpose of the forced marriage.

All four persons were taken under arrest on the basis of the relevant court decision.

Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal restriction of freedom of an under-aged person committed in group with a previous agreement, article 143, III part, sub-paragraphs “A” and “D” of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
