Tamar Ioseliani, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, and Hideto Kawasaki, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Digital Transformation of Japan, signed a “Memorandum of Cooperation in the Field of Digitalization between the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia and the Digital Agency of Japan”.
According to Tamar Ioseliani, the goal of Georgian Government is to develop a modern, secure, and innovative digital ecosystem in the country. This includes further improving government services, strengthening the digital economy, introducing new technologies, using artificial intelligence responsibly, and promoting more active cooperation between the public and private sectors.
“In this process, the experience of a country like Japan is particularly valuable to us, as it has significant practical experience in both digital governance and the development of advanced technologies, as well as their integration into economic and social processes”, - said the Deputy Minister.
