The officers of Anti-corruption Agency of State Security Service, as a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, detained a representative to Zugdidi municipality Mayor in Ergeta (Tsvane) administrative unit on the fact of bribe-taking.

Investigation establishes, that the mentioned individual promised a citizen to register ownership for the 5000 square-meters state balanced land parcel in village Ergeta, Zugdidi region in exchange for USD 65 000. The representative of Zugdidi municipality Mayor took a part of demanded money, USD 15 000, when he was detained.

Investigation is carried out into the fact of bribe-taking in especially large quantities.
