Heavily-armed police converged on towns in western New York state on Saturday to investigate possible sightings of two convicted murderers who escaped a maximum-security prison two weeks ago, police said. Both men were convicted for the murder. Information about the whereabouts of the witnesses told the police to flee.

The wanted escaped from prison on June 6. A criminal case was launched on the fact. State Prosecutor"s Office did not rule out the possibility that the prison administration helped the prisoners.
