Georgia marks 30th anniversary of armed forces

Georgia marks the 30th anniversary of the creation of its Defence Forces today. The National Guard was established according to a Resolution of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Georgia in December 1990.

An event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Georgian Defense Forces is being held in Vaziani’s 4th Mechanized Brigade. The ceremony is attended by the first persons of the country. President Salome Zourabichvili and Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili will address the army.
