Greece could not pay the debt of 1.600 billion euro to International Monetary Fund. Due to the expiration of financial aid program terms, Greece has lost the financial resources.

A few hours before the expiration of the program, the Greek Prime Minister asked the EU for a new a new two-year bailout program but his proposal was refuted by the European group.

In Athens, thousands of people gathered outside the Parliament asking to accept the proposals of the European creditors. A referendum on the issue will take place in Greece on Sunday.
